The Hermès Kelly Wood is one of the maison's most artistically ambitious and collectible creations, a reimagining of the iconic Kelly silhouette in which marquetry replaces saddle-stitched leather as the principal language of the bag. Inlaid panels of warm beechwood are set against precisely cut coloured Barénia, drawn from the Perspective Cavalière motif. That print, designed by Hugo Grygkar and first introduced in 1952, is one of the most celebrated equestrian studies in the maison's archive. The Kelly Wood translates it from silk into a three-dimensional object, treating the Kelly as a canvas for craftsmanship at its most exceptional.

This is the limited edition Kelly Wood 22 Cavalière in multicolour Barénia and beechwood, finished with palladium hardware. The natural grain of the wood and the controlled palette of leather inserts give the bag the feel of a marquetry piece you'd expect to encounter in a private collection, not in everyday use. Palladium hardware anchors the composition with cool, architectural clarity, lifting the warmth of the wood and sharpening the geometry of the inlay.
